METAPHYS lighting "hono" electric candle

Candlelight sways in invisible faint flow of air. The mysteriousness may be the charm of the candlelight. However, the light source is fire, and thus not all places are suitable for it. A white acrylic tube that encloses candlelight is imaged, and the light that catches the tiniest breeze is realized by using LED. The light makes you have some slight attachment to the inorganic and artificial LED. About 8-hour charge / discharge. A dedicated charge cradle is used.

*To turn on the hono, rub the hono lightly with the top of the matchstick at the place 1 or 3cm below the tiny holes.

*To turn off the hono, rub it in the same way as turning it on. Hono can be temporary blown out like a genuine candle then it gets back on again in 10 seconds.

METAPHYS Casca is constructed out of a translucent ribbing, which allows for subtle changes to its shape and provides the elegant form of a traditional Japanese lamp, incorporating the shadows from its horizontal stripes into its original design. Integrating a simple and light design while retaining its Japanese traditional lamp style provides a new style of beauty for Casca that can be integrated into contemporary interiors.

The moment you want to remove the dust, it is ready to use. Bringing out the cleaner from the storage, plugging it in, and putting together the hose is enough to discourage you to clean the room. METAPHYS cleaner UZU is, therefore, designed to be ready to use at any time, not being the type to be stored, but to be placed as a part of interior. A hose is an inevitable part of the cleaner, but it is bulky and often destroys the design. Considering these points, i.e., hose storing, design as a part of interior, and being less time-consuming before and after cleaning, the basic specifications (cordless, cyclone, collapsible handle, extensional hose) are made.

*Press the button on the handle to unlock it, the handle is unfolded, and the cleaner is ready to use.

*During recharging the battery, the LED lamp is on.

METAPHYS electric "kion" Negative Ion Generator

A small electric appliance with a power cord on the floor gets in your way or may cause tripping hazards. The models that can be directly plugged into the outlet are designed so that there are no tangled cords on the floor. To avoid the demerit of occupying one outlet, a tap with double outlets is attached. The first series products are minus ion generators, which freshen small, closed, and plus-ionized spaces.

This CD player is cut in half so that part of the disk is actually playing outside of the unit. This unique effect is contrasted through illumination and it almost appears as if you can see the sound being played.

A square aspect of a planter will have a variety of looks with different pieces of scenery pictures. A long rectangular plane may suit for the panoramic sea view stretching as far as horizon. A plane of another planter placed by the window may suit for white clouds floating in the sky. We designed planters to enjoy the contrast between the plants planted and a scenery picture shown on the planter. You can select whether to hang it on the wall or place it on the table.

We designed planters to enjoy the growing process of plants; from sowing to making plants sprout and grow. Plant whose height is genetically constrained puts out buds in a shallow tray without soil, and grows in the dedicated planter that makes the plant look most beautiful. A portion of wide spread of prairie is brought into the room. You can combine or pile up the planters in two different sizes.

METAPHYS amuse "celtis" board game

A totally new two-person board game is designed. The players alternately place the pieces folded with the angle of 120 degrees, and the player who first places 7 same color pieces in a straight line is the winner. The profoundness of this game lies in that placing your piece may favor your opponent, increasing his/her piece. You can store the pieces inside the board, but if you leave the game on the table, it is designed to function as an interior object d'art.

The design concept for this tape cutter is how much we can simplify the design, though leaving some expression without detracting the function of tape cutter. Among many designs, users seem to get bored soon, we worked on a design that remains fresh in 10 years. One interesting feature of the design is that the tape cutter looks very different depending on whether it is placed vertically or horizontally, and the colors and materials to use.

Try to pick up one clip; you will get a series of them. It is because of the magnet on the mouth of the stocker. To make average and ordinary clips looks a little bit higher grade, 'subordinate-superior relationship of design' is applied here.

The word "magnet" is usually associated with different colors and rounded shapes. While using specific colors for different tasks is a common practice, the meaning of such colors may not be clear to everyone. Quale has been designed in the shape of circles and crosses so that everyone can intuitively recognize their meaning.

To divide the office space, partitions are considered to be the most effective. And most partitions create spaces of straight lines. However, Metaphys believes a new trend of office space concept will be that people put money on offices that excel in mental effect and surpass the benefit by space efficiency. We worked on the office dividing system with great flexibility: aluminum frame partitions covered with fabric that can quickly change color and texture, and those that freely combine straight and curved lines.

*This partitioning system is useful in portioning desks in the office or useful for designing event booth ,or some other purposes.

*By changing the fabric stretch to other colors, image of the space can be changes.

Once magazine is stored in the bookshelf with the title being displayed, it is hard to remember what contents it has. We recognized that it is actually image on the front cover, which reminds us of the contents.

From this experience, we re-thought about a way of storing magazines. Ladd enables users to hook magazines on an aluminum frames with the front cover being beautifully displayed.

Generally, small items such as wallets and mobile phones tend to be forgotten about as they lay at the bottom of your bag, making it overlap and appear bulky.Maisonette is designed to be slim by sorting items into different sizes – small accessories fit into the upper pocket and documents can be stored under the main pocket.

Created a totally new stepstool for harmonizing with a contemporary space as we re-composed it from an ordinal stepstool as a tool. By making the legs and steps with triangular section, it looks slimmer and neater with minimum visual information.
