The problem of a shortage of sockets, or difficulties involved in plugging in multiple AC adapters at the same time using conventional electrical outlets, presented a unique design challenge. This led to the new node wall outlet, which has done away with the conventional twin slotted electrical outlet, and provides a new form of wall outlet with advanced functionality.
